Awakening Pakistan to the Gospel of Jesus Christ: A Vision for Transformation
In the heart of Pakistan, where leaving Islam can result in severe consequences, a spiritual awakening is unfolding. People from Muslim backgrounds are embracing Christianity, drawn by Christian literature, radio, television broadcasts, dreams, visions, and the influence of Pakistani Christians. These courageous converts, some with backgrounds as former militants, face significant challenges on their journey of faith. Existing Christian communities, predominantly comprising Muslim, Hindu, and lower-caste background believers, are often ill-equipped to guide and integrate these individuals effectively. Many converts eventually return to Islam or withdraw into private expressions of faith. There is a pressing need for support and resources to nurture and guide these brave souls.
In response to this urgent need, Cry of Deliverance (COD), in collaboration with Pastor Asher Mansha of Christ Holiness Church Pakistan, presents a strategic plan to establish the J-Training Center (Jesus Training Center) in Karachi City. This multifaceted ministry center aims to be a beacon of hope, offering accredited Bible College education, a Christian school for children and youth, vocational training, and residential accommodations for persecuted and displaced Christians.
The Opportunity in Karachi City
Karachi City, the largest city in Pakistan and a cultural melting pot, provides a unique opportunity for interfaith dialogue and the sharing of religious perspectives. Pastor Asher Mansha, with a credible reputation and deep respect for local laws and customs, is well-positioned to lead this transformative initiative. Karachi, as a diverse and multicultural city, offers a fertile ground for cultivating understanding and tolerance among different religious communities.
